Moon Shadow Mosaics is owned and operated by Lois Susan Turpin. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lois now resides in Collingswood, New Jersey.
Different dreams follow different paths, and for Lois, creating stained glass custom art was her first dream. For twenty five years she honed her skills to complete commission work for many homes in the Philadelphia area. Using the copper foil method, she created hanging windows as well as permanent installations.
Along that path Lois realized her love for the camera. She enrolled in college with Photography as her major. Although falling in love with the beauty of black and white photography, she never gave up her passion of creating stained glass art.
After college, her dreams took another path. She became curious and challenged by the art of mosaics. Lois taught herself the technique, utilizing twenty five years of hands on glass work. She works primarily with glass, stone and tile to create 2D and 3D mosaics, depicting nature and animals.
